About
I’m Susan Popoola and I have established a successful career as a Human Resources Consultant specialising in HR Transformation & Talent Management having worked on numerous HR related projects across the Private, Public & Voluntary sectors for organisations such as WorleyParsons, Royal Festival Hall, De La Rue, Ove Arup, National Power, the Department of Health, MHRA, Local Authorities, Government Agencies, News International & a number of SME Businesses.
In addition to my first degree in Political Science, I have achieved Diplomas in Personnel Management & the Art of Systems Thinking; a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources with a specialism in organisational consultancy & a Masters in Human Resources Strategy & Change. I am also a member of both the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD), The International Association for Human Resource Information (IHRIM) and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA).
Central to my work in Human Resources are the combined objectives of attaining Business Success via people and the development and fulfilment of individuals in their careers.
Over time, I have become increasingly aware of the need for the alignment of Education & Community with Business for the effective Talent Management within organisations. This means that I have an additional focus in encouraging Business Community Engagement (via Education and the wider community)
My involvement in Education as a School Governor, Young Enterprise Sponsor/Judge and Business Education Ambassador specifically provides me with a good sight into how Education works; new developments in the field and the Talent coming through to be deployed within organisations.
My first book, “Touching the Heart of Milton Keynes: A Social Perspective” takes a look at 21st Century Britian, using Milton Keynes as a case study.
I am now working on my latest book – Consequences, which looks at Diversity in the UK. I will be using this site to share some of my thoughts and seek opinions.
